About the position

To provide information technology support to optimize operational efficiency, resolve technical issues, maintain hardware, software installations and improving IT systems; to provide support to users, set up accounts for new users, respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests, repair and replace equipment as necessary, test new technology and administer Zoom webinars.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Information Technology or a related field of study

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field of study

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in an Information Technology Support role
  • Experience in providing exceptional technical support and resolve queries

Key Performance Areas

Strategic Management

  • Align with the organizational strategy to ensure that the Information Technology Support and Operations functions deliver on the day-to-day requirements of the business
  • Keep informed of business regulations and matters related to Information Technology Support


Information Technology (IT) Support

  • Consult with Information Technology managers, team and other departments as required
  • Provide Information Technology assistance to staff and other stakeholders
  • Train end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
  • Resolve logged errors in a timely manner
  • Monitor hardware, software, and system performance metrics
  • Update computer software. as well as upgrading hardware and systems
  • Maintain databases and ensuring system security
  • Document processes and performing diagnostic tests
  • Keep track of technological advancements and trends in Information Technology support

Operational Effectiveness

  • Operate Zoom for webinars
  • Handle slides, polls, sound quality for all speakers and videos, registration, statistics, all the technical aspects
  • Transition seamlessly from slides to video as needed
  • Spotlight multiple speakers and transition speakers effectively - multiple speakers and presentation
  • Attend all necessary project meetings and run our dry runs from the technical side so that Marketing can focus on the rehearsal content and communication strategies
  • Run the setup of the webinar meeting – scheduling the event
  • Pull Reports from Zoom after meetings/webinars within 24 hours including all registration and attendance related statistics, as well as reports on chat function and Q & A boxes
  • Pull Poll Results
  • Assist with ensuring lighting, sound and quality of presentation, speakers and Webinars in general
  • Provide immediate solutions and technical advice where needed
  • Research on the capabilities of Zoom and other platforms
  • Suggest ways to improve our technical aspects of Webinars and Meetings

Budget/Financial Management

  • Assist the operations management team to monitor and manage the Information Technology - Security operating and project budget
  • Deliver solutions to Information Technology Security problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements

  • Meet team expectations regarding goals, objectives, deliverables, and services
  • Collaborate with the team for better results

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks
  • Proficiency in IT helpdesk software
  • Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support
